Business Owner Terms

These terms apply to any business owner, representative, or staff member submitting, claiming, managing, or activating a listing on VanIsleLocal™.

Authority to submit and manage

By submitting an application, claiming a listing, or managing business information on VanIsleLocal™, you confirm you are authorized to act for the business and to submit the information provided.

Accuracy of information

Business owners are responsible for the accuracy, completeness, legality, and currency of information they submit or request to display, including descriptions, service areas, contact details, hours, photos, and supporting documents.

No false or misleading claims

Business owners must not submit false, misleading, or unsupported claims — including unsupported claims of superiority (such as "#1" or "best"), misleading licence or insurance claims, fabricated awards, or fabricated review content.

Keeping information current

Business owners are expected to keep their information current. Outdated information should be updated or removed promptly via the contact pathway.

Business-submitted documents

Documents submitted by a business (such as proof of operation or supporting material) are reviewed only for platform suitability. They do not constitute independent confirmation by VanIsleLocal and do not confirm licensing, insurance, credentials, or regulatory standing.

No guaranteed leads, rankings, sales, visibility, or outcomes

Membership and listing activation do not guarantee leads, sales, rankings, traffic, visibility, or any specific business outcome. Paid tools and membership level do not affect editorial Top 10 / Top 12 ranking.

Right to edit, decline, hide, suspend, or remove

VanIsleLocal™ may edit, decline, hide, suspend, or remove any listing, profile, submission, image, link, or document at its discretion for clarity, safety, relevance, suitability, legal, editorial, or platform-quality reasons.

Disputes between businesses and users

VanIsleLocal™ is not a party to and is not responsible for disputes between businesses and users, including service quality, project outcomes, rates charged, communications, scheduling, or post-service matters.

Changes

VanIsleLocal™ may update these business-owner terms, membership terms, or platform features at any time.
