These guidelines apply to all submissions to VanIsleLocal™ — business applications, listing content, claim requests, corrections, photos, documents, and user messages.

Allowed

  • Accurate business descriptions
  • Service areas
  • Contact details
  • Business photos the owner has rights to use
  • Supporting documents requested during review
  • Service and category information
  • Correction requests

Not allowed

  • Fabricated credentials, awards, or achievements
  • Fabricated review content, ratings, badges, or testimonials
  • Misleading licence or insurance claims
  • Defamatory or knowingly false claims about people or businesses
  • Copied content without rights or permission
  • Spam, repetitive, or off-Island submissions
  • Illegal, harmful, adult, or hateful content
  • Offensive or abusive content
  • Bait-and-switch offers or deceptive promotions
  • Unsupported superiority claims such as “best,” “#1,” or “guaranteed”
  • Impersonation of another person, business, or organization
  • Intellectual property or privacy violations

Submissions confirm authority and accuracy

By submitting content, you confirm you have the right to submit it and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

Moderation

VanIsleLocal™ may edit, reject, hide, remove, or update listings, content, submissions, images, links, or business information at its discretion for clarity, safety, relevance, suitability, legal, editorial, or platform-quality reasons.
