2. Join online
Choose monthly or annual billing and complete secure checkout. Annual covers twelve months for the investment of ten.
3. Complete your profile, then it goes live
After checkout you set up your profile details. VanIsleLocal reviews them for local relevance, category fit and completeness before your member profile is published.

- What membership levels does VanIsleLocal offer?
- Three: Local Starter for a reviewed profile focused on one primary community or service area, Island Growth for an enhanced profile with broader category and regional visibility, and Market Leader for a premium profile with priority presentation and the widest service-area visibility.
- How is the membership amount decided?
- It is matched automatically to your main business category. Enter your business name and business type on the membership page and the three options that apply to your business appear, with the exact amounts shown before checkout. Every business in the same category sees the same amounts.
- How does annual membership work?
- Annual membership covers 12 months for the investment of 10 — two months are included, which is 16.7% less than paying monthly for a year. All amounts are in Canadian dollars.
- What is the Founding Partner advantage?
- Founding Partner is a launch status added to whichever membership level you choose — it is not a separate membership. It includes a Founding Partner badge on your active member profile, a founding rate lock for as long as that subscription stays continuously active, the annual founder bonus of twelve months for the investment of ten, and first access to new member promotion features when they are introduced.
- Can I buy a Top 10 ranking?
- No. Top 10 and Top 12 guides are editorial. Membership and editorial ranking are separate, and paid membership does not buy or guarantee editorial placement.
- What does VanIsleLocal review?
- VanIsleLocal reviews profiles for Vancouver Island relevance, category fit, completeness, and platform suitability. It does not verify licences, insurance, credentials, professional standing, regulatory compliance, service quality, or future performance.
- Does membership guarantee leads or sales?
- No. VanIsleLocal provides discovery and visibility opportunities, not guaranteed leads, rankings, traffic, sales, or business outcomes.
- Can service-area businesses join?
- Yes. Businesses that serve Vancouver Island communities without a public storefront can apply, provided their service area and business information are clear and relevant to the Island.
- How do I join?
- Choose your category on the membership page, choose Local Starter, Island Growth or Market Leader, choose monthly or annual billing, and then provide the business details needed to prepare or claim your profile.
